Free to join. No buyer fees. Browsing and bidding are free, and buyers pay only for the pallets (plus VAT). TPX's margin, plus a flat admin sale fee (on a part load, a share for the pallets accepted), comes off the seller's price only when a sale completes. A £45 + VAT charge applies only to a side that fails a deal, for example a buyer who doesn't pay within 48 hours.
Not sure you need Premium? If you buy the odd load, stay on Pay As You Go, with no monthly charge. If you sell regularly, the lower 3.5% seller margin, unlimited requests for pallets and a two-hour head start on new lots soon pay for themselves.
Membership will always be free. No sale, no margin. TPX's margin is 3.5% on Premium (5% on Pay As You Go), plus a £9.50 + VAT admin sale fee on each completed sale (on a part load, a share for the pallets accepted). Buyers never pay a transaction fee. If either side doesn't do their part (a seller who doesn't deliver, or a buyer who doesn't pay within 48 hours), that side is charged £45 + VAT. The £9.50 admin sale fee isn't added. All prices exclude VAT.
Premium members can broadcast a pallet requirement to the entire relevant TPX network. Instead of ringing around the trade, post once and let the suppliers with the stock come to you.

The Pallet Exchange is not open to the public. Every company applying to join is manually reviewed before access is granted. No public browsing. No consumer accounts. No end customers viewing trade prices.

On TPX, trade prices are never shown publicly and members stay anonymous until payment clears. Sealed bidding means buyers put in their genuine best number without seeing anyone else's, and the seller sees bids arrive but never who made them, so your margins and your customer relationships stay protected. The blurred areas here are exactly what a competitor would never get to see.
